Welcome to Tannu British Shorthair. My name is Lynne. I have been breeding pedigree cats since 1981. I started with two Beautiful Burmese cats brought as pets with the hope to breed my first litter. I was very fortunate to meet Ronnie Brooks, she taught me how to steward in my early years of learning. I have learnt so much about cat breeding over the years and thoroughly enjoy passing on some of the knowledge by mentoring others who want to be successful with their breeding. Not only do I love to breed cats, but I also own and run Barnside Cattery in Kent.

I had luck on my side when I first started breeding, not only did I get  to meet Ronnie Brooks, but was asked to steward for Val Anderson in her British section. Her Daviot prefix was very highly thought of and I was so lucky that she allowed me to have Daviot Anghard, a.k.a Grace. Grace was my first British Blue, a cat with the most incredible eye colour and sound coat. These beautiful features which have all since passed to all of her kittens.

I will always remember her first litter, arriving just after midnight on New Year’s eve in 2001. Giving all her kittens the unique birth date 01.01.01. My journey had begun breeding this amazing breed of cat not only with their stunning features but their gentle, loving and exciting characters.
